All the free channels such as BBC
TV & Radio, ITV 1 to 4 (NOT
Channels 4 & 5) plus a selection of news, travel,
shopping & god, about 400 + channels. Free to air boxes do not
have a card slot so
no option to have channels 4 & 5 or any pay to
view (Sky)
services.

FREESAT SD |
This is the Free satellite service from BBC &
ITV, aimed at
supplementing the swap to digital in the UK, only
about 70 channels. No option to receive channel 5 or any
of the pay to view
(Sky) channels. You can get all the channels
supplied by this type
of box (& a lot more) with any Free to air or Sky
box.

| FREESAT HD |
This will give you all the available Free channels as
the above,
with the addition of High Definition stations,
just BBC at this
time but ITV on the way.

| SKY |
All Sky boxes will give you
the 400+ Free to Air Channels with no need for a
card or any monthly subscription. As the
Sky boxes have a card slot,
you can purchase a one off payment card for
channels 4 & 5, or take a monthly payment
contract card (£16 to £45 depending on what you
wish to view).

| FREEVIEW |
This service is not available in France being a
conversation from
the standard terrestrial aerial to digital so
customers, in the UK,
can receive a few extra Digital channels. The
Freeview box is NOT a satellite box, so of no use here.

| DIGITAL? |
With satellites (the only way to get UK TV in France)
the digital
talked about is the signal from the satellite to
the Digi Box. You do not have to have a digital TV to receive the
channels as the box converts the signal into a format that your TV
can “read”. So any TV, with the UK Pal I system, is fine. If you
want High Definition (HD)TV then
you must have an “HD Ready” TV set.
